Sometime inspiration bubbles like champagne….POP! Give me some junk and I might get tipsy with ideas. I wrote a while back about “Today’s Haul,” there was a photo of all the cool stuff I got for about $10.00. Well, this weekend was a “Glamorama” and most of the stuff got a fun makeover.
This was the haul, and today my “glamorama” re-inspired the three green votive cups, vintage fence border, paper mache stars, and the handmade shawl.
The plan for the stars, turn them into shooting stars for my “Merry Mermaids” booth at the Seaside Holiday Gift Fair in November.
The star was a simple makeover adding 18 gauge wire with curled ends and adding a good dose of glitter on top.
Here are the wire pickets BEFORE. I love the rust! It screams “Shabby Chic” to me.
It was fun to turn one half of the picket into a faux dream catcher! Very dreamy AND beachy!
The other half of the picket has a beachy flavor but it is still dreamy. The wire form of the flower border picket is a blank “canvas”. The cool thing is I have 5 more border pickets left….10 more wall hangings!
These boho votive candles are fit for any mermaids shelf or mantle and this set is going in my Merry Mermaid booth in November. The green votive was attached to a brass candlestick base and rhinestone jewelry parts decorate the front. I made jaunty little tassels from jewelry parts and fringe.
It’s Tuesday, so I have to wait a few more days for any garage sales which is okay because my goodie shelf is overflowing! I’ve got to pick through my pile and reimagine a few more makeovers today.
