At least it wasn’t raining the night of December First Saturday ArtWalk in Seaside! I breathed a huge sigh of relief before I walked in the back door of Sunrose Gallery and tucked my jacket and purse in a dark corner. This was THE END of a huge amount of non stop work that started in July. I went outside and snapped this photo with my cell phone of the inviting front window display Cathy set up!
We never have big expectations for December ArtWalk because the tourists are few and far between and except for a few loyal locals, the turnout is usually low. However my featured artist setup stays up month long and we usually sell a good amount by the end of the month. My theme was “Merry Mermaids” with cone trees and mermaid tree toppers.
Plus I offer 20% off of all my art which is an incentive for the locals!
Well, one wonderful gal visiting from Washington State made us feel like we hit the jackpot! Jerri purchased one of my driftwood chandeliers plus my Upcycled Mermaid Tree Topper!!!!
Jerri purchase my Mermaid Tree Topper and this Whitewashed Driftwood Chandelier!
Then some of my favorite loyal locals Mike and Sherrie purchased one of my Driftwood Cone Trees!
All in all it was a fun night sipping hot cider and visiting to Christmas music playing in the background. Yesterday I made a new shell encrusted cone tree to replace this one Sherrie is holding. I guess I will admit to being a workaholic. LOL.
