My mailbox was stuffed with two Amazon Prime packages last week. WASHI TAPE! It didn’t take me more than fifteen minutes to gather all my supplies to make these collages. Help me, I already have a washi tape addiction. LOL
I had a stack of cigar box lids and some upcycled cardboard wall plaques that needed to be repurposed. The cardboard plaques had already been given a fresh coat of acrylic paint. So I started playing with the tape. Wow is it FUN!
The washi tape is fun to mix and match. I have stacks of images I cut from magazines and match with a fun whimsical saying. I play with the images until one seems to work better than the others. I finally decided on the darling dog image with the saying “Procrastinate tomorrow”. DONE!
It is really fun to play with the collection, mixing and matching really gets the creative juices flowing. The cigar box lid is completely transformed in 10 minutes!
I admit I giggle sometimes when I add the whimsical touch. “Quit your job….raise chickens”. My customer is down to earth, always ready to giggle and have fun.
I removed the back of this cat brooch pin and hot glued it to the cardboard plaque. Stickles gives a finished touch to the edges, plus it seals the edges. I don’t know how I got along without Stickles before Ranger came out with it!
The washi tape is a pretty good bargain at 45 (5 yard) rolls for $18.99 and free shipping since I belong to Amazon Prime. The little collages almost made themselves! I chose two gold patterned tapes and experimented with a border.

I think the washi tape made a really classy border for this upcycled broken rhinestone heart collage. I guess I am definitely stuck on washi tape!
