The little leather pouch just keeps on giving! I paid 50 cents for it and I have more left even after these leather projects!
The original plan was to cover the headband with the leather strip and make a whimsical leaf decoration with the button in the middle. BORING?! YES!
The Headband:
After I used hot glue to attach the leather to the headband I drew black swirls with permanent ink and decorated them with acrylic paint pens for a whimsical colorful headband. I covered the white (inside) with brown paint and attached pretty gold braid with Aleene’s Tacky Glue.
The pin:
I turned one of the leaves into a pretty pin/brooch by metal stamping “I LOVE FALL” and staining the letters black with some pretty gold accents. I attached a pin finding to the back with hot glue
The Bracelet:
This project actually took about 20 minutes to make. I cut a piece of leather to fit my wrist and used permanent markers to color sections. Then I metal stamped SEASIDE OREGON and used a silver pen to make the letters stand out. I had a few jewelry clamp findings, they are so easy to turn anything into a bracelet. You just put them at the end of the leather and clamp down with some pliers. WA-LAH you have a bracelet!
Crafters are always thinking about Christmas…only 134 days away! Wow time flies. Leather crafts make wonderful presents that are easy to personalize. Hopefully this will give someone some inspiration : )
Lovely! I am still in awe from all that you get from various garage sale finds. I f more people were like you, the world would be awash in trash.

Aw thanks for saying that! It is rewarding to do the makeovers and posting about it may inspire someone when they are about to toss something….I hope!
