I have only used about 1/8th of the skein of yarn I got recently. I cut out a rainbow shape of cardboard and made this silly yarn wrapped cat and put it in a Dollar Store frame. Little pictures like this sell at Sunrose Gallery here in Seaside.
I have been searching the internet for practical yarn wrapping ideas to inspire me. It is fun to see an idea and make it my own with a twist, but I have found so many fun ideas that I don’t want to use I just have to share them.
I think this would make a good bazaar item! They could be priced very reasonable and wouldn’t some new fall branches look nice in them?
SO CUTE! Perfect decor for a Halloween party!
I wish I had thought of this!
Such a clever idea…gift wrapping with yarn!
I have a letter “M” I might try yarn wrapping
This is DEFINITELY a cool bazaar idea.
Let the kids get in the craft supplies!
Of course this isn’t yarn wrapping but I couldn’t resist leaving it out. I love them!!! I have tried crochet and knitting, it is just not in my genes.
All these ideas are really inspiring and if you have any yarn sitting around go ahead and wrap something…it would make a fun and inexpensive gift!
Some great ideas, Patty! I like your framed Kitty – makes me smile! 😍

Do you have the link for the pattern? My sister knits and I might try to get her to make one for me.

Sorry Eliza, I just found the photo on Pinterest without a link, but I will see if I could track it down. Pinterest is great for ideas, not so much for finding the original owner!
