Just some innocent gawking on Pinterest lead me down the rabbit hole to click “Buy it Now”on Ebay!  I purchased a cool coffee table book “The Art of Vogue Covers 1909-1940”. I had to have it!  The photos are so inspiring and I got started right away on this fun beachy assemblage.

I was so happy the backside of this page wasn’t something I wanted to use and I am keeping the flag images for a patriotic idea.

I quickly painted a beach background with acrylic paint and while that was drying I cut her image (I ignored the shawl on her right arm).  It was so nice that my big shell was the perfect representation of a billowy skirt.  Next was to add some shadows on the sand.  Last, after the shell was adhered with E6000, I added a rhinestone belt.

My gal needed feet! I clipped the feet from another page!

Wait until you see the treasure trove this book is!  The pages are high quality paper and the images are bright.  Here is a sample of the inspiring pages:

I can make another shell skirt assemblage with this page.
