When I made the vellum paper pinwheels, I didn’t have a plan what I was going to do with them. It just was a fun project to use my cool paper straws. However when I took the time to photograph them, especially after I made the photo prop banner, some ideas popped in my head!
I loved the photo images and thought they would make a cute greeting card. I like how the card turned out. It is very rewarding to spend time making a craft and then multi-purposing it into a totally different item. My friend Dianna has made greeting cards from recipes she has featured on her food blog. I am going to try to remember to try this more often!
I have always wanted to make a calendar, but you need 12 different images! Maybe if I don’t worry about starting in January I can actually come up with 12 different images of art that I can assemble into a 8 x 8 calendar! YAY! So I have March covered, hopefully I can remember to make an April image.
Since I made the greeting card I thought I might as well made a pdf so folks can print one for themselves.
Such a fun card, makes one feel happy, just looking at it!
