I got two delft frog salt and pepper shakers at the last garage sale that were perfect “clangers” for a flatware wind chime. I sell wind chimes at Sunrose Gallery here in Seaside, Oregon. They don’t usually sell like hot cakes, but they always sell.
These little frogs have a lot of personality and personality sells! LOL
I love to wire wrap and I think the wire adds another element of decoration. Swirls are sort of my thing!
I use 17 gauge wire that I buy in 1/2 mile rolls, but 18 gauge wire will work just as well, just make sure the wire is stainless steel and NOT aluminum because aluminum isn’t sturdy enough to hold.
After wire wrapping, I gave each spoon a nice coat of cobalt stray paint.
I used yellow accents of painted dots and beads for contrast.
So that is one wind chime down and another to go, I bet Cathy (owner of Sunrose Gallery) will want me to bring these to her shop before the next ArtWalk!
Super cute and clever!! 🐸💕
