I got a pretty wood bead necklace at Rag ‘n Bone Thift Store in Seaside, Oregon and thought it would be fun to give it an update. It was fun to turn it into a completely new necklace and earring set.
This wood bead necklace was priced at $3.00!
The focal point is a cascade of beads with an earring finding that cradles two beads in it’s center.
I purchased a shank of 50 copper colored chain necklaces on Etsy for a reasonable price. The necklaces are easy to adapt by measuring carefully and snipping them to add the chuncky necklace elements on each side of the chain.
Since I used the small round wood beads for the focal, I had to use a few of them for the earrings to tie the ensemble together.
I think the update is fresh and modern, just in time for a classy spring outfit!
I LOVE this transformation! I need to dig out some of my old beaded necklaces. 🙂
