I make mandala earrings that sell at Sunrose Gallery here in Seaside, Oregon. I purchase a PDF of the mandalas and usually make several copies when I find some cool ones on Etsy. The other day I was surprized to discover I had 5 pages of mandalas in my print-out folder! So I decided to use up several sheets of the mandala images to make a cone Christmas tree and I am happy how it turned out.
Step One: Coat each image with a thick coat of Judikin’s Diamond Glaze (so it will have some strength.)
Step Two: After the glaze is completely dry, cut out the images.
Step Three: Use hot glue to attach to a cone tree that has been coated with black glitter.
Step Four: Attach a flat bead to each center.
FYI: I got my mandala images on Etsy.
After I make something I have never seen before curiousity gets me and I want to see if there is something similar to my idea. I found some other cool ideas on Pinterest that feature mandalas:
This is fun and colorful! It would be an easy print project.
This would be a fun mandala project to do with the kids.
Ha! When I Googled “mandala tree” up popped an image of the advent calendar I made last year!
I hope the mandala’s inspire you!
