Felt letter boards are trending on Etsy and since I received one as a Christmas gift I finally played with it recently. I had fun using water color paper painted with my new chalk paint pens and used some magazine font to make another accessory for the letter board.
My letter board was tucked in a Christmas box full of a vast selection of German chocolate from my son and daughter in law who live in Germany! Mmmm a tasty Christmas!
Step One: Punchflowers (or use scissors to cut out your own design) from watercolor paper. FYI each flower needs two pieces.
Step Two: Assemble the flowers with glue (I used hot glue)
Step Three: Find pieces of the letter board symbols you probably won’t use to glue to the backs of the flowers. Glue the front of the symbols to the back of the flowers.
Step Four: Use hot glue to attach a piece to the flower back.
Now the flowers can be attached to the felt letter board and stay where it is put!
I used the same steps to attach a plastic piece to magazine font pieces.
I decided to make a listing in my Etsy Shop for all these plastic letters and the colorful accessories so someone’s letter board can have an instant makeover.
