Aha! I figured how to use up some more of my washi tape! I liked the free printable I offered last week because it was bright and fresh. I printed out 10 of them for me to send out this year. But then I thought it would be fun to give the cards an UPGRADE by making them 3D.
This is the free printable I offered last week, I printed 10 of them and trimmed them to 5×7 folded.
I cut out a cardstock tree slightly larger than the tree graphic on the card. Then I covered it with washi tape overlapping to the back so the thicker washi tape made a pillow effect. I made different washi tape trees being as creative as I wanted.
This ended up being my favorite combination of them all and after making 6 different ones, I duplicated this design for all the others.
After all is said and done, the 3D Christmas trees made a definite UPGRADE to the original idea…plus more washi tape is GONE. LOL.
