Free Printable Advent Calendar

advent free stuff feature 1

I have had fun getting ready for the most fun Christmas Bazaar: Every Husband’s Nightmare.  This bazaar is in it’s 26th year!  I have made a selection of Advent Calendars that are fast and inexpensive to make.  This calendar features a FREE PRINTABLE that I found by Googling “free printable Advent calendar”.

If you click on the calendar it will take you to the website and they have many more free printable calendars. I chose this calendar because I thought it would match the peppermints I planned to use.

I get sheet metal shingles at Ace Hardware for $1.58.  If you are going to purchase some sheet metal, take a magnet to the store with you to make the metal is magnetic.  I printed out the calendar on regular printer paper.

I like to use a extra strength glue stick to adhere the paper to the sheet metal shingle.

Glue a magnet to the backs of each peppermint with a dab of hot glue.  FYI: I wipe the bottoms of each magnet to ensure there is no dark dust that will stick to the paper printout after gluing.

Since I have to watch my costs to be profitable in the bazaar, my totals were:

Sheet metal shingle: $1.58

24 Peppermints: $ .72

24 magnets: $2.00

Total: $4.30

Time to make 1/2 hour

I will price this calendar at $18.00 and cross my fingers it sells!

To finish the calendar I added a wire hanger to the top and filled the calendar with the colorful peppermints.  When each peppermint is taken off and enjoyed, simply place the magnet on the backside to save for next year where you can use hot glue to attach new peppermints.
