I love to sort through my craft supplies for two reasons. The first is for inspiration and secondly, I decide if this is something that has been sitting around too long…. it needs to go.
This 5″ shell had seen better days! I did consider tossing it, however with a coat of turquoise paint it gained a new life!
I used a long piece (approx 24″) of 20 gauge annealed wire to make a hanger/ bead strand holder to attach to the back. I LOVE 20 GAUGE ANNEALED WIRE! It is dramatic and really adds a new dimension to my shell art.
I used a good amount of hot glue to adhere the wire hanger to the back and covered the hot glue with vintage sheet music.
Instructions:
Step One: Cover the shell with paint and let dry completely
Step Two: Use FREE magazine font with glue stick to spell out the phrase.
Step Three: Make the hanger with 20 gauge annealled wire and use hot glue to attach it to the back.
Step Four: Make bead strands and attach them to the rings on the wire hanger.
Step Five: Decorate the shell with a tiny star fish.
Enjoy!
